RENEWABLE ENERGY PROGRAMS
Empower Your Future with clean, affordable and sustainable Solar Energy
WHY SOLAR?
Solar power is a clean, renewable energy source that reduces our reliance on fossil fuels and lowers greenhouse gas emissions. By harnessing the power of the sun, we can create a sustainable energy future for our community, providing long-term economic and environmental benefits.
Bringing Clean Energy to Our Community
At 4CORE, we're committed to fostering sustainable energy solutions and making solar power accessible to everyone in our community. Our solar initiatives benefit the environment and our local residents, with a special focus on income-qualified households.
Sunnyside Community Solar Program
In partnership with La Plata Electric Association (LPEA), we are proud to introduce the Sunnyside Community Solar Program. This initiative is dedicated to bringing solar power to those who need it most. This program not only helps reduce energy costs but also supports our mission to promote sustainability and energy independence in our region.
Expanding Solar Access with Shaw Solar
4CORE is teaming up with Shaw Solar to bring you Project SunShare. This initiative brings affordable rooftop solar power to homeowners in Southwest Colorado who otherwise couldn't afford it. This close-to-home initiative is a shining example of how we can work together to create a more sustainable and equitable future.
By helping these income-qualified families, we contribute to their energy independence and reduce their utility costs, resulting in years of significant savings. By making solar power more accessible, we aim to lower energy bills, reduce carbon footprints, and contribute to a healthier environment for future generations.
Project SunShare Application Coming Soon…
The target audience for this program is households earning at or below 80% of Area Median Income (AMI) up to 150%. For reference, the 2024 AMI in La Plata County is $88,400 for a two-person household.
Thanks to Shaw Solar's generous equipment donation, the project has secured 100 kW of solar panels— enough to power 20-25 solar arrays!
Homeowner contributions are eligible for the 30% Federal Solar Tax Credit, providing additional savings.
