At 4CORE (Four Corners Office for Resource Efficiency), we are dedicated to empowering our community through sustainable practices and innovative energy solutions.

OUR HISTORY

4CORE was formed in 2008 by a coalition of diverse stakeholders, including representatives from local municipalities, utilities, energy companies, and other organizations and businesses, to create an organization to promote resource efficiency. The resulting nonprofit organization collaborates uniquely among local utilities, local governments, and grassroots citizens’ efforts.

OUR PROGRAMS

4CORE's impactful initiatives provide climate solutions through boots-on-the-ground water conservation, energy efficiency, and clean transportation programs and projects. Our efforts in water conservation are tangible, with the annual promotion and sale of rainwater-collecting barrels in partnership with Rainwater Solutions. We are also working with La Plata County to launch the upcoming greywater program, Laundry to Landscapes (L2L). 4CORE also offers energy efficiency opportunities to income-qualified residents in southwest Colorado through the CARE and Energy Smart programs.

Our Green Business Certification Program assists small businesses in becoming sustainable while reducing operation costs. 4CORE’s work with the Colorado Energy Office through our ReCharge program promotes the adoption of electric vehicles and the development of charging infrastructure. With the Colorado Energy Office, we provide free eBikes for vulnerable sectors and increase zero-emission transportation across southwest Colorado.

4CORE is currently developing its Solar for All Program, which will provide free or subsidized solar panel installation for homeowners in low-to-moderate-income families.
