Jenny Hill

Executive Director

Jenny comes to us with far-reaching experience working in the business community and nonprofit sector throughout the Four Corners area. Raised in Durango, she previously worked with the City of Durango as the Multimodal Manager, bringing regional knowledge and a commitment to address the climate crisis.

Prior to her role as Executive Director for 4CORE, Jenny served as a project manager for over 10 years within transportation and community planning. She has Master’s Degrees in Urban Design and Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Colorado in Denver, and a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business. She has been involved in clean transportation, renewable energy, resource conservation, energy efficiency and green building practices for almost 20 years.

Jenny brings a wealth of experience, community contacts, and a deep knowledge of grant management. She served on the 4CORE board for two years prior to becoming a 4CORE staff member, and the Thrive! Living Wage Coalition board. As the Treasurer of the 4CORE board, she helped organize the Beyond Solar Home Tour and Soiree fundraising and event management, ongoing fundraising and donor engagement.

Outside of the office, you can find Jenny bopping around town with her two kids, Bode and Margot, husband Dave, and loyal dog, Rumi.

Molly Morris

Program Manager

Molly comes to 4CORE from working with Colorado Springs Utilities. During this time, she primarily worked on water programming. Her work included educating their walk-in customers on energy efficiency options for their homes: from solar panels, hot water heaters, insulation, and windows to programmable thermostats and showerheads. “I was there to help our customers understand the options for efficiency. One of the changes that our department underwent was to transition from the term efficiency to demand management. While this term might be a little less understandable for the consumer, the meaning is common sense: lower demand, so we generate less energy.”

Molly owned and operated her own landscaping business, where she provided consultant services for water-wise landscape renovations and irrigation options to improve client water efficiency.

She’s our expert for energy efficiency programs. You won’t find a kinder voice to answer your questions and get you signed up for the right program for energy and water savings.

Colleen Wilcox

Program Coordinator

As the Green Business Certification Program Coordinator, Colleen is finally working on projects that she trained to do in graduate school. After a ten-year career in journalism, she attended the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies with a concentration in Industrial Ecology (her father has run his own business his whole life). In addition to her courses, Colleen did a separate project related to coastal wetland loss in Louisiana as a result of Hurricane Katrina in 2005. That led her to starting a nonprofit in New Orleans called Bayou Rebirth, which conducted wetland planting projects with volunteers and an environmental education program in the local schools. After seven years of running the organization, she closed its doors in 2014, moved to Colorado and became a teacher. The next year she got married and started a family. Colleen has been in elementary or preschool education ever since.

Kathleen O'Connor

Communications Manager

Kathleen is a versatile professional with experience across multiple fields, including environmental consulting, nonprofit management, biology, and writing.  She has strong technical writing and editing abilities honed through roles like authoring environmental assessments and management plans for both public and private agencies. Kathleen also has nonprofit expertise from serving as the Interim Executive Director for the Powerhouse Science Center, where she directed operations, budgeting, fundraising, and community outreach.

Kathleen holds a Master of Science degree in wildlife ecology with a minor in writing. Her background in biology and ecology includes fieldwork studying endangered species, including federally-listed birds, aquatic salamanders, and cave invertebrates in Central Texas, as well as conducting wildlife surveys and managing conservation lands. As a freelance writer and copywriter, Kathleen has crafted engaging content for local businesses and publications on topics like sustainability, the environment, and Durango community profiles. Driven by her passion for climate action and sustainability, Kathleen is excited to bring her skills and dedication to 4CORE and its mission in the Four Corners region.

In her spare time, she loves writing, mountain biking, and exploring new places both above and below ground.

Rebekah Huehnel

 Clean Transportation Program Manager

Rebekah, known as a community builder, has a background in business development, corporate travel, and sustainability. She is dedicated to fostering alliances and partnerships with the shared goal of driving both ethical and sustainable initiatives forward.  She spent the pandemic gaining a Master of Science in International Sustainable Tourism. This innovative multidisciplinary, international academic program has better equipped her to face the complex challenges in the transition to clean energy. Inspired by 4CORE, she is thrilled to align herself with an organization that prioritizes true stewardship, using its business to maximize benefits to the community and the planet.

Fun Fact: Rebekah, her husband Joshua, and son Noah moved to Costa Rica for her master’s program, where they lived in a research facility (which happens to hold the second largest seed bank in the world!).
